If you came through Sunday School it's likely you'll be familiar with that song, "If I Were a Butterfly", with its refrain, "I just thank you Father for making me me". (I expect you can remember all the actions as well!)
What a great thing to pray! Sifting through your photos and videos this week it was so apparent how different we all are - and yet we're all family and all delighted over by God.
Jesus met such a mix of people during his ministry. It's a huge relief to know that when we come to Jesus we can come just as we are. Jesus welcomes all of us; anyone who is thirsty.
On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”

HOLY SPIRIT INTERVIEW
This Pentecost we're so grateful to David MacInnes for taking the time to talk to us about the Holy Spirit.
In a 10-minute interview, David shares with Martha in his usual warm, engaging and story-telling style, all about the Holy Spirit, what the Holy Spirit means to him, and about the joy he's encountered in getting to know the Holy Spirit.
Whether you're not quite sure about the Holy Spirit, or whether you'd just love to hear some encouraging and uplifting stories, look for the video on the Virtual Sunday page or on YouTube on Sunday.
We were nothing short of DELIGHTED to receive all your entries for the St. Mary's Pentecost music video. Thank you so much for sharing your musical talents, idyllic photos, creativity and (in one congregation member's case) some surprisingly light-footed dance moves!
You can find the finished video on the Virtual Sunday page this Sunday.
Thanks so much to everyone who joined in with Thy Kingdom Come!
We'd love to give our friends at St. Mark's, Camberwell a big, big blessing and a thank-you for praying for us. If you'd like to write a short message of encouragement or gratitude then please do, and send these through to Emily (email@example.com), who will collate them and pass them on.
Along with congregation members from St. Mark's, we prayed continuously for 24 hours. We had 54 pray-ers (at least, those are the ones we know about); 30 from St. Mary's and 24 from St. Mark's, Camberwell. Well done to everyone - especially those of you who got up very early on Monday to make sure all the slots were filled!
As many of you have already discovered, all of our St. Mary's videos can be found on our YouTube channel - just click on the link below and then click on "videos". Here you can find all of our previous worship team videos, One Way and Ignite videos, Thursday Thought and anything else we've done since the start of lockdown.
We're so grateful to Mark Burbridge who, for over two years, took our CAP Debt Centre forward as CAP Debt Centre Manager. Earlier this year Mark stood down from this role and, as a result, we are actively seeking someone to take this on going forward.
Coen VanWyk continues as Debt Coach and we'd love to be able to recruit someone to stand alongside him, conscious that the need to shine the light of Jesus into people’s lives through Debt Support is going to be greater than ever in the aftermath of Covid-19. For more information about the role, please contact James: firstname.lastname@example.org.
RESOURCE OF THE WEEK
Where is God in a Coronavirus World by John C. Lennox
James says, "In this short book, an Oxford professor examines the coronavirus in light of various belief systems and shows how the Christian worldview not only helps us to make sense of it, but also offers hope to cling to."
Ideal for yourself or to give away. Buy from The Good Book or pick up a copy from the church porch.
Everyone has questions about what life is all about. We believe that everyone should have a chance to share those questions, explore the Christian faith and give their point of view.
Alpha is a place where you can ask those questions in an honest, friendly and open environment.
In recent months at St Mary's, God has been extending our vision to serve the town in an exciting, ambitious and creative way at a time of substantially increasing need for many within our community...
So many people in our community feel the weight of debt, and we are passionate about helping to release anyone we can from a life sentence of debt and poverty. At St Mary's we are working with Christians Against Poverty to bring good news, hope and freedom. If you need support, we'd love to hear from you.
