Youth at St Mary's

At St Mary’s, we're passionate about young people coming to know, love and follow Jesus. We want to provide a safe place for everyone, no matter where they are at in their faith, to feel valued and accepted. We want to share the life-changing love of Jesus with young people and support and inspire them for a life of faith. Our aim is to invest in them as individuals, equip them with God’s word and encourage them to apply their faith to their daily lives and be open about their faith with their friends. Events

Ablaze

During our Sunday morning services the young people leave to head up to the Vicarage for fun, games and Bible study. This is for all in school years 7-13 and the sessions are led by our Youth Pastor, Joel, and the fantastic team of volunteers.

Remix

Our weekly community youth club runs from 3.15-4.45 on Fridays during term time at Glyme Hall. Come along for games, sports, crafts and a chance to chat. Check us out on the Remix Instagram page @remixchippy.

Spark

Our boys' midweek group meets on Thursdays from 7:15 to 8:45pm and is a chance to discuss the bible together and build friendships. Email youth@stmaryscnorton.com for more info.

Impact

Our girls' home group meets on Sundays and is a time to chat, laugh, enjoy friendships and discover God's word.      Years 7-9 (6-7.30PM)         Years 10-13 (7-8.30PM)                                                       Email youth@stmaryscnorton.com for more info.

Mentoring 

Young people can meet up with an older christian for a coffee or an ice cream on a regular basis to chat and read the bible.

Socials

Each term we have social events too, from movie nights to days out in the park. All are welcome, more details on our next one to follow.

Residentials

We really value time away together as a group and each year we join with a couple of other local churches to go on a youth weekend away. The next one is on the 23rd-25th September 2022 at Adventure Plus in Bampton. To sign up or for more information please contact Joel.

About our Youth Pastor

Joel was born and raised in Bristol before moving to Cirencester for a few years whilst he completed his degree in Applied Theology and attained a Youth & Community Work qualification. He loves sport, board games, and camping and is passionate about seeing young people reach their potential and grow in their relationship with Jesus.
